Improvathon 2013

jazamin sinclair / drawing, exhibitions, liverpool, painting, performance, Uncategorized, writing / / 0 Comments

Here are images of the artwork I created for 33.33 hours (2013 minutes) during Impropriety’s depraved & debauched Improvathon 2013. I documented scenes as they happened in front of me and used quotes for a lot of the pictures. I only slept for about an hour when I literally passed out/couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer. As a result some of the episodes/scenes could quite possibly be a bit mixed up and some of the outfits are painted using the wrong colours. To be honest, some pieces are also considerably better than others: I was after all improvising & didn’t have a clue what I was going to do when I got there. They got a bit better over time.

If you want to know more about the story/plot read the live blog from the weekend.

if you want to see some of them in real life, a few of these pictures are currently on display at The Egg in HeadSpace@EggSpace’s Painting Exhibition which is up until 12th May 2013.

All are available to purchase for £33.33 unless marked sold. Limited edition prints are also available from £20.13 (A4 size). If you were a cast member or part of Impropriety’s team, I am offering everything at 1/2 price. And if you want them framed they will cost more. Please email me at: jazamin@mac.com or call 07811059702 for more info.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

jazamin sinclair / drawing, exhibitions, liverpool, music, painting, performance, photography, workshops / / 0 Comments

So, it’s December and it’s nearly Christmas. Already. How did that happen? Wasn’t it summer (if you can call it that) like about five minutes ago?

You can tell it’s almost Christmas, my last weekend was made up of eating some gingerbread & orange cake, several glasses of mulled wine with friends, a bonfire, hats, scarves, gloves, soggy feet, coming home to my excited flatmate putting up a Christmas tree in the living room, Christmas songs playing in the street and trying to learn the words to various Christmas carols ready for a gig this week. Oh yes & I acquired an electric blanket. A particular highlight. Who knew they were so great?!

Anyway, as well as the said gig, I have (or will have as of this week) lots of my most recent artwork up in the seven exhibitions that are listed below. So, if you are interested in seeing my artwork in real life & not just virtually on my website and on my Facebook page, then please go to one of these places to take a look! Another thing, if you need a wedding or event photographer in the near future, we at Capture Photographers are currently taking new bookings and if you are interested in developing & making the most of your digital photography skills you will be pleased to know that our courses are returning in the new year.

***Don’t forget, if you are Christmas shopping at the moment to consider buying affordable, original artwork as presents for your loved ones whilst also supporting local emerging artists***

33 and a 1/2 paintings created in 33 and a 1/2 hours #Improvathon2012

jazamin sinclair / liverpool, painting, performance, Uncategorized / / 0 Comments

As mentioned in my previous post I was involved in a thirty-three and a half hour Improvathon created and performed by Impropriety at The Kazimer.  Here are images of the individual paintings that I produced during that time.

As you can see, due to the general sleep deprivation of the event and the short amount of time I had to do what I was doing, the numbers and names of the paintings became slightly mixed up. They are, however, in the order that they were created…
