I am really excited to say that Premier League have used my footage of choirs singing ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ from Liverpool Pride 2016 in a short film [created by Nomad] about Paul Amann as part of Stonewall’s ‘Rainbow Laces’ campaign.
Paul is the founder of Kop Outs: Liverpool’s LGBT+ Fans Group and the choirs who performed together on the day are: Liverpool LGBT Choir; Sunlight Unplugged; Up For Arts Community Choir; Kaboodle Community Choir; The Choir with No Name; and Sense of Sound Singers. All choirs were led by Jennifer John.
So, it’s December and it’s nearly Christmas. Already. How did that happen? Wasn’t it summer (if you can call it that) like about five minutes ago?
You can tell it’s almost Christmas, my last weekend was made up of eating some gingerbread & orange cake, several glasses of mulled wine with friends, a bonfire, hats, scarves, gloves, soggy feet, coming home to my excited flatmate putting up a Christmas tree in the living room, Christmas songs playing in the street and trying to learn the words to various Christmas carols ready for a gig this week. Oh yes & I acquired an electric blanket. A particular highlight. Who knew they were so great?!
Anyway, as well as the said gig, I have (or will have as of this week) lots of my most recent artwork up in the seven exhibitions that are listed below. So, if you are interested in seeing my artwork in real life & not just virtually on my website and on my Facebook page, then please go to one of these places to take a look! Another thing, if you need a wedding or event photographer in the near future, we at Capture Photographers are currently taking new bookings and if you are interested in developing & making the most of your digital photography skills you will be pleased to know that our courses are returning in the new year.

More shameless self-promotion. I am exhibiting and singing at several events over the next month or so and it’s probably easier to post them all in one go rather than to keep trolling everyone with endless facebook/twitter posts. I’ll try to keep it brief, but if you know me, you’ll know that once I go off on one that can prove to be difficult, because details are important. And me? I don’t know when to stop. You get the picture.Oh and just in case you missed it, I was a Demanding Mime in my previous post (that was fun).

That’s all for now, there’s more coming up (there always is isn’t there, I hear you cry) but that’ll do for this post. I did say I’d try to keep it brief. And I didn’t do that did I?So yeh. If you got this far, you’re a better person than me. I’d have stopped reading a long time ago & cried out: “SKIP TO THE END”. Anyone else ever see that episode of Spaced where Tim says that to Daisy? I did try to find it on YouTube but it but it wasn’t there. Yeh. It probably really is time to stop now and maybe practise for some of my gigs or something.

Last weekend, I am pleased to to say that along with other Sense Of Sound singers, I took part in the Acapella Voices Festival Joni Mitchell Show at The Blackie. It was truly an amazing thing to be a part of!
It was fantastic to sing with Connie Lush during ‘Both Sides Now’ and to see some of Barbieshop perform, whose version of ‘Mr Sandman’ I love! I found that the way the whole show was so stripped back & raw made me feel really connected to it.
Prior to the show, I was asked to create a drawing of Joni Mitchell to be used as part of the projection and audiovisual design that was displayed during the performance and produced by Joe Stathers-Tracey.
Here is an image of the drawing – I hope you enjoy it!
Joni; Pencil On Paper; Original Not For Sale. Limited Edition A4 Digital Prints (1/100) available; £25.00 / £40.00 FRAMED. (Framed size: 43cm x 33cm). Other sizes available, please enquire!
Tomorrow evening we (Sense of Sound singers) will be singing twice, for your listening pleasure, outside The Bluecoat. This will coincide with the turning on of the Christmas Lights in Liverpool City Centre. We will be doing two small sets at one at 7:00pm & one at 7:45pm. It’s all free & I think it will probably give you a bit of a taster of what to expect in our gigs next month. I have listed some of the Sense of Sound forthcoming gigs on the events page of my website if you are interested in finding out more!
