'Hot Pepper Sauce 2': 15cm squared; Acrylic & varnish on canvas; Sold at Auction to raise money for Greenbank Sports Academy
I went to the Greenbank Sports Academy Charity Auction this evening, which I had donated a piece of artwork to & it sold to raise £15.00. ALL of the money generated from all sales is going towards helping to raise money for sport and art activities for disabled children at Greenbank Sports Academy.
Dot art helped to find many pieces of work for the auction including some pieces by friends & local Liverpool artists, such as: Jackie Stevens, Nathan Pendlebury, Paul Francis & Lynn Fraser. There were some great pieces of work there & I was really shocked & surprised to see a very large original of Nathan’s go for £15.00 – I think it’s worth a lot more than that but it’s all for a good cause in the end & that’s what matters…
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to stay until the end (or to see how Jackie, Paul & Lynn’s artwork did) but bar a few pieces, everything seemed to be selling & the buyers were getting more & more into it as the evening went on. The auctioneer Max Steinberg (Chief Executive of Liverpool Vision) was taking no prisoners! Lets hope lots of good will come from the money raised!
Below are few images of the evening!
